聽78Violet "Hothouse"：葬花

2013年時78Violet沉寂五年後再推出的新單曲<Hothouse >宣告兩人的"長大"，走向20世代的兩人再也不是青少女了。

2姐妹童星出身以Aly&AJ之名發了三張專輯並參加許多電視劇及電視電影演出，在2009年時改名為78Violet，在<Hothouse >她們從妝髮到服裝，女人味十足，MV把2人拍得很唯美；雖然剪接的有些累贅，但是2姐妹讓喜愛她們的人等那麼久，7分多鐘也算是對粉絲的完美補償了。

<Hothouse>做為2姐妹Aly&AJ更名為78Violet後的首支正式單曲像是一個對過去的Aly&AJ的正式告別，她們脫離Hollywood唱片公司自己發行這支單曲，音樂曲風由Teen Rock轉身成Folk Rock，她們的歌曲在暗示她們的生活現在更複雜化，唱法也不再直來直往，多了許多迴轉，意圖展現這是78Violet的音樂，這是我們。

78Violet <Hothouse > MV

MV由一段口白展開，歌曲的意義口白裡有玄機；2姐妹相依相偎令我想到電影<Ginger Snaps女狼傳奇>裡的那對可怕的姐妹，當然，和可怕無關，而是那種相濡以沫的沾黏，那種濃暖。因為高個兒Aly是姐姐，我就把她當作MV女主角了，看起來也的確是，Aly的大特寫非常多，時而脆弱，時而迷惘，時而溫柔，時而堅定；要講的故事很簡單，就是一個為愛受傷的女人，好在有她的姐妹，她能有那種力量去逃離那段關係，把那段感情，當花葬了。






除了歌曲本身的旋律迷人，我特別喜歡歌詞，講一個人是Hothouse Flower，聽起來以為那人是什麼媽寶，但更深的意思是這個人脆弱嬌生，受不了一點點四周的變化，無法忍受不可預期之傷害及破壞，是"Something I cannot handle"，甚至，You can't handle you "，連這個人都掌握不了自己－這樣的人，只好葬了。

而埋葬的下一步就是從新開始。

文字是2013時單曲發行後的10天寫的，之前打一半就停住了，對，然後現在2016年了......當時和<Hothouse >一起被釋出的還有好幾首歌，但是只有<Hothouse >有作發行；後來78Violet 就沒有再發行作品，Aly和AJ後來除了各自的電影演出之外，目前她們都分別在影集中有演出(Aly- iZombie , AJ-The Goldbegs)，她們現在將團名改回原本的Aly&AJ 。
